Preventative Maintenance

When air-conditioning units are being used excessively during the summer and winter seasons, the filters become blocked with dust, which not only results in the units over heating (which increases power consumption) but also leads to costly component failure and replacement.

Organic dust exposure in indoor air, particularly when the space is air-conditioned, plays a critical role in the development of building complaints and indoor health disorders such as headaches, lethargy and upper respiratory / mucus membrane symptoms, e.g. couching and sinuses. Air-conditioning sanitation is therefore an obvious requirement on a regular basis to target these inert allergies and mycotoxins.

Without regular maintenance an air conditioner loses about 25% of its original efficiency for each year of operation. This means that the 12,000 BTU units that you bought just a few years ago may be functioning like a 9,000 BTU unit today! The good news is that you can recover most of the lost efficiency through regular maintenance. Studies show that with regular servicing a unit will maintain up to 95% of its original efficiency. This means that the cost of an annual service is recovered very quickly in saving on a monthly electric bill and reduced repair costs.
